The International Congress, organized in Warsaw between 24 August and 3 September 2006, is one of the biggest educational conferences in the world. Thanks to numerous discussions and sessions with the participation of global leaders, over 700 people from 91 countries will have the unique opportunity to exchange their ideas and to discuss the most relevant topics bothering our world now.

By organizing the Congress we would like young people, with their experience, knowledge, mutual respect and understanding, to knowingly contribute to the dynamically changing world.

This event aims at drawing the international society's attention to the changes taking place in our country, our culture, tradition and enterpreneurship. Through professional organization and interesting content-related program, we would like to build a positive image of our country among others.

The Polish Tourism Organization and the Polish Conference and Congress Association are official supporters of the 8th edition of the Conference Venues and Services Catalogue CONFERENCES IN POLAND 2006. The printed version of the Catalogue is supplemented with a CD, as well as Poland's map visualising the localisation of presented venues and an internet searcher available on www.meetingspoland.pl.

An interesting novelty for the searcher is an inquiry form that enables its user to place queries on the selected conference halls availability and contact even several hundreds of venues at the same time. After selecting the criteria (e.g. hall's capacity, required equipment, swimming pool availability, etc.), we may send an inquiry. It will be immediately sent to all selected venues. Currently, the database consists of almost 200 venues.

The CONFERENCES IN POLAND Catalogue is an annual publication with its first edition in 1998. More than 450 conference venues and almost one hundred professional conference organisers have decided to advertise in it. The trilingual, Polish-English-German, publication has almost 20000 direct receivers - conference requesting customers and conference planners from Poland, as well as other countries generating trips to Poland.

As announced by Andre Kaldenhoff, Chairman of the ICCA Central European Chapter, Kraków has won the contest for the organization of next year's CEC Meeting and from 8 to 12 June 2006 will be hosting leading professionals of the regional MICE industry.

Just before the event, co-organized by ICCA and the Convention Bureau of Poland, will take place a forum for business tourism professionals from Central and Eastern Europe, gathering ICCA members and non-members, with a view to expand the regional cooperation among the industry.
